What is SUSS Strides 2026?

SUSS Strides 2026 is a month-long virtual movement challenge that brings together students, staff, alumni, faculty and the wider community to stay active while supporting meaningful causes through fundraising.

Every kilometre completed contributes towards a collective community effort to support SUSS students and other selected funds.

When is SUSS Strides 2026?
  • Launch Event: 7 August 2026
  • Virtual Challenge: 7 August (11.00 AM) – 6 September 2026 (11:59 PM)
  • Winners will be contacted when the event concludes.
Who can participate?

Everyone is welcome, including:

  • SUSS Students
  • Staff
  • Faculty
  • Alumni
  • Members of the public (Open Category)
Where does the event take place?

Anywhere!

Complete your activities wherever you are and submit them through your participant portal.

How much is registration?
  • Individual: $35
  • Student Individual: $25
  • Mixed Group (4 pax): $130
  • Student Group (4 pax): $90
What do I receive upon registration?

Each registered participant is eligible to collect one exclusive Participant T-shirt, subject to availability. 500 T-shirts will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis during the SUSS Strides Launch Day on 7 August 2026.

The first 1,000 participants who successfully complete the challenge (Individual or Group Category) will receive:

  • Finisher T-shirt. Sizes are subject to availability on a first come first served basis.
  • Finisher Medal (awarded upon meeting the event completion requirements)
Can I register after the event starts?

Registration remains open until 06 September 2026 (11:59PM).

Participants may still register after the official launch on 07 Aug 2026, and can submit activities completed anytime during the official virtual challenge period.

Can I join as a group?

Yes. A group must consist of a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 4 members. Pets are welcome and may be included as one of the group members.

Note: The registration fee is fixed per group and remains the same regardless of whether your group has 2, 3, or 4 members.

Can I change my group members after registration?

Group members cannot be changed after registration. If you wish to participate with different members, you will need to register a new group with the revised members. Please note that an additional registration fee will apply.

Can I add group members after registration?

Groups are encouraged to register only after confirming all group members. No addition of group members would be allowed after registration.

Can I participate individually and as part of a group?

Yes, participants may register for up to 3 individual activities and any number of group activities (either as a group leader/group member) using the same email address.

  • Swimming
What is my challenge goal?

Walk / Run / Swim

  • 202.6 km

Cycling

  • 2026 km

Participants may accumulate distance over multiple sessions.

Can I join more than one activity category?

Yes, you may register for more than one activity category as an individual.

To sign up for an additional activity, simply click "ADD ACTIVITY REGISTRATION" and complete a separate registration for your chosen category.

Please note:

  • An additional registration fee applies for each extra activity category.
  • Each activity must be tracked and submitted separately under its respective activity category.
Can I choose my own route?

Yes. Participants may complete their activities at any location of their choice, provided the activity can be accurately tracked and recorded through a fitness application.

How do I submit my activities?

Step 1: Log in to your SUSS Strides 2026 participant account.
Step 2: Access your participant dashboard.
Step 3: Upload a screenshot of your activity record tracked on the various fitness applications, clearly showing the following information:

  1. Distance
  2. Duration
  3. Date

Step 4: Once your submission is successful, you will see the success pop up message.

Please note the following:

  • Activity details may be rejected and updated upon organiser verification within 1 week
  • To ensure fairness for all participants, only complete submissions that include all the required information (as shared above) will be accepted. The organisers reserve the right to reject incomplete submissions.

Can I submit multiple activities in one day?

Yes. There is no limit to the number of valid submissions.

Can I combine multiple sessions to reach my goal?

Yes. Your total distance is accumulated throughout the challenge.

Can I submit a single activity record for both individual and group categories that I am participating in?

Yes, you may. Kindly upload the activity record for both the individual and group category using the same email address login.

What tracking apps can I use to generate my screenshots?

You may use any recognised GPS or fitness app, including:

  • Strava
  • Garmin
  • Apple Fitness
  • Fitbit
  • Polar
  • Samsung Health
  • COROS
  • Huawei Health

or other compatible tracking applications.

Note: There is no sync function to fitness apps implemented for this event.

Can I use a treadmill to complete my activity?

Yes. Treadmill activities are accepted for eligible activity categories. Participants must ensure their submission meets the event's requirements.

What screenshots do I need to submit for a treadmill activity?

Please submit either of the following:

  • A screenshot/photo of your treadmill display showing the completed distance, duration, and/or other relevant workout details.
  • A screenshot from your fitness tracking app synced to your device (if applicable) showing the recorded activity whilst running/walking.
Can I edit a submission after uploading?

No. If you accidentally submit an incorrect distance, simply submit the activity again with the correct information. The organisers will verify submissions before approval.

How long does verification take?

Submissions will be reviewed on a weekly basis. Once approved, your cumulative distance and leaderboard ranking will be updated.

How frequently must I submit my activity on the Participant Portal?

While it is recommended to submit your activities daily to provide the most accurate leaderboard status, you may submit within 7 days of the activity day. E.g. If the activity was done on 9 August 2026 (Day 1), the last day to upload this activity will be on 15 August 2026 (Day 7).

Can I submit my activity if my team is not fully formed yet? I.e. there are members pending registration or verification.

Unfortunately, no. Your team must be fully formed, i.e. all team members registered and verified, before you can start to submit your progress.

Can I submit an activity on behalf of another group member?

No. Each member must submit their own activities through their own account.

Can I fundraise for SUSS Strides?

Yes. Participants may create a Giving.sg sub-campaign page via https://www.giving.sg/donate/campaign/suss-strides-2026 to encourage family and friends to support their journey. See here for the fundraising guide to setting up your very own sub-campaign.

How long can I fundraise through my sub-campaign?

Your sub-campaign may remain active until 31 December 2026.

Note: Only funds raised up to 6 September 2026 will be considered for the Top Fundraisers Prize

Where can I indicate my fundraising sub-campaign page link?

Once your Giving.sg sub-campaign link has been approved, you may log in to your account and update your profile with your sub-campaign page link.

Note: Once your sub-campaign link has been submitted under your profile, no further changes will be allowed.

Can supporters donate directly to my Giving.sg sub-campaign?

Yes. Each fundraiser will have a dedicated participant profile page featuring a sub-campaign link, via which supporters can make donations to.

Can supporters donate without registering for this event?

Yes. Anyone may donate through the official SUSS Strides Giving.sg campaign.

Can individual/ group registrations share fundraising sub-campaign links?

Yes. You may share your fundraising sub-campaign link with others to help raise more funds for your individual or group campaign.

Note: Once a sub-campaign link has been assigned to an owner, all donations made through that link will be credited to the assigned owner and counted towards their leaderboard ranking. Ownership cannot be changed once assigned.

What if I have issues with my fundraising ownership?

You may contact the Organiser at annualgiving@suss.edu.sg. The Organiser reserves the right to verify fundraising ownership and resolve any disputes relating to attribution or campaign ownership. The Organiser's decision shall be final.

How is the leaderboard ranked?

Leaderboards will display:

  • Total Distance
  • Funds Raised
  • Individual Rankings
  • Team Rankings

Participants can also filter by:

  • Walk / Run
  • Swim
  • Cycle

and by category:

  • Student
  • Staff
  • Alumni
  • Open
Why isn't my activity reflected immediately?

Activities will appear only after organiser verification.

Will everyone appear on the leaderboard?

Yes.

The leaderboard displays all participants, not just the top three.

Are Weekly Challenges compulsory?

No.

They are optional bonus activities.

How many weekly challenges are there?

There will be 3 weekly challenges:

How are winners selected for the Weekly Challenge?

Depending on the challenge, metric for judging will range between:

  • Creativity
  • Fastest completion
  • Committee judging
  • Public voting
  • Accuracy

What prizes can I win?

Will students have separate prizes?

Yes.

Student winners will have prizes sponsored by “Beyond the Vines”.

Staff, Alumni and Open categories will enjoy a range of alternative prizes.

What can I do in the Participant Portal?

You can:

  • Submit activities
  • View your progress
  • Track cumulative distance
  • Monitor fundraising
  • View leaderboard standings
Can other people see my participant profile?

Yes.

Participants who opt to fundraise will have a public profile page that supporters can visit to make donations.

Can I complete activities overseas?

Yes.

Activities completed anywhere in the world are accepted.

Can someone else complete my activities?

No.

All submitted activities must be completed by the registered participant.

What happens if fraudulent submissions are detected?

The organiser reserves the right to:

  • Reject submissions
  • Remove inaccurate distances
  • Disqualify participants
  • Withdraw prizes

How do I collect my participant T-shirt / finisher T-shirt?

If you missed collecting your Participant T-shirt on 7 August, you can still collect them from the Advancement office at SUSS.

Each registered participant is eligible to collect one exclusive Participant T-shirt, subject to availability. Please note that any uncollected T-shirts after 14 August will be forfeited. If you miss the chance to collect a Participant T-shirt, don’t fret! You can stride to complete your challenge and snag the Finisher T-shirt!

I’m unable to collect within the stipulated time period, can someone collect my T-shirt on my behalf?

Yes, please ensure the person collecting has a screenshot of your profile page on SUSS Strides website that shows your email address and T-shirt size, e.g.:

You may use the Forgot Password option on the login page.

Can someone else complete my activities?

No.

All submitted activities must be completed by the registered participant.
